BMW F 450 GS Likely To Be Launched In 2025

BMW Motorrad showcased the F 450 GS Concept at the EICMA 2024, and it is now set to make its global debut in 2025. The BMW F 450 GS will likely compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure, and also serve as something that sits between the G 310 GS and the F 800 GS Adventure.

BMW F 450 GS: Things To Expect

The F 450 GS Concept follows the design language of the bigger adventure motorcycles in the lineup, with the headlight setup having been lifted off of the R 1300 GS. It also features a 19-inch and a 17-inch rear wheel setup with cross-spoke rims. BMW Motorrad says it will also provide high-strength cast aluminium wheels as an option.

Not much can be said in terms of the hardware for now. However, the F 450 GS will feature fully-adjustable golden USD forks and a monoshock. The bike maker says it will make use of lightweight construction, and that it is aiming for a kerb weight of 175kg. Not much is known about the braking equipment, except that there are discs on both ends that it is likely to feature dual-channel ABS.

BMW Motorrad says that the engine will be a parallel-twin unit, with a 'never-seen-before' ignition offset. It also says it is targeting a power output figure of 48bhp, and it should also be tuned for substantial torque at lower revs; think of how the Himalayan 450 has been tuned.

The F 450 GS will make its global debut in 2025, and this will likely slot in between the G 310 GS and the bigger mid-size ADVs from BMW Motorrad.
