With the new GST regime kicking in, the BSA Gold Star 650 now falls under the new 40% tax slab. However, BSA has decided to continue with the pre-GST prices, but there is a catch, which we will get into shortly. Additionally, the bikemaker will also offer an accessory kit as well.

BSA Gold Star 650 Prices Details

As part of the new offer, prices for the Gold Star 650 remain unchanged despite the new GST regime kicking in. However, this offer is limited to the first 500 buyers, post which BSA will start retailing the 650 at revised prices, which begin from Rs 3.31 lakh (ex-showroom). As of now, the Gold Star 650 is available with six different paint options, and here is how they are priced;
- Highland Green - Rs. 3,09,990
- Insignia Red - Rs. 3,09,990
- Shadow Black - Rs. 3,25,990
- Midnight Black - Rs. 3,21,990
- Dawn Silver - Rs. 3,21,990
- Legacy Sheen Silver - Rs. 3,44,990
Additionally, the Gold Star will also be available with an accessory pack worth Rs 5900. This includes a tall windscreen, a pillion backrest, a metal exhaust shield and a rear luggage rack.

The bike remains unchanged mechanically; the 650cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder powertrain continues putting out 45bhp at 6500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4000rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of features, it only comes with what's required; dual-channel ABS, twin-analogue dials, and a slip-assist clutch.
Verdict
With this offer, you need to act quick if you wish to buy the Gold Star 650 at a more affordable prices. With 350cc+ motorcycles attracting the 40% sin tax, buying a Gold Star 650 has become a bit more challenging, especially for someone who seeks a truly retro experience without the intervention of too many modern features.
