CEAT SportRad and CrossRad Tyres: Details

The Sportrad radial range is specifically designed for top-notch motorcycles falling within the 300cc-400cc category. These tires, priced at Rs 12,500 for a set, come in two sizes  110/70 ZR17 for the front and 150/60 ZR17 for the rear.

What makes these tires stand out is their steel-belted radial construction, providing excellent handling at high speeds. The slick design on the shoulders ensures a substantial contact patch during extreme leans, enhancing overall stability. The central slick design is optimized for stability at high speeds, and the groove design, including midcrown grooves, delivers impressive wet grip and cornering stability. To add to their versatility, the Sportrad tires feature a silica-blended tread compound, ensuring a sporty riding style in various conditions.

The Crossrad tires are designed mainly for motorcycles that can handle a bit of off-road action while ensuring optimal grip across all terrains. Currently, these tires are only available in the size 140/60 R17 for the rear, priced at Rs 4,300. They feature a Steel Belted Radial Construction, ensuring superior handling regardless of the terrain.

To boost grip on gravel and mud, the tires come with Transversal Grooves, providing an enhanced biting grip. The Interconnected Shoulder Blocks contribute to a superior cornering grip, offering a larger contact patch. Thanks to the Asymmetrical Block Design and a unique centre block design across the tread profile, the tires deliver improved grip and handling. In simpler terms, these tires are built to offer a balanced performance with a 60% focus on roads and 40% for off-road adventures.
