CFMoto 450SR Sportsbike Takes Off Cover - 50 Hp & 190 Kmph Top Speed

Its not been a long time since we presented you the news of the CFMoto 450SR sports bike being teased. Well, the China-based motorcycle maker has finally revealed the production-spec of their mid-weight sports bike to the global markets.

CFMoto 450SR Design & Features

Since the showcase of the concept model SR-C21, it was widely anticipated that the 450SR will be based on the concept itself. Well yes, most of the design has been carried over from the SR-C21 concept model. Sharp front-end design with winglets embedded in the front fairing make it look like a miniature MotoGP bike.

We're not very sure about the working of these winglets over the road; a comprehensive road test shall clear more on that but they do look aggressive. All LED dual-headlights with sharp LED DRLs compose the fron-end design more aesthetically. Use of red elements make the looks more sporty overall. It features USD front suspension, 320mm front Brembo disc breaks, 240mm rear Brembo disc brakes, Bosch ABS, dual-swingarm design for more stability and agility around the corners, and the upright-set rear end design.

Over all red inserts, use of carbon fiber panels (we're not sure if they're actually of carbon fiber or those are just graphics), and the matte-black paint finish give the 450SR very appealing look.

450SR Engine & Specifications

CFMoto has used a parallel-twin, 450cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which produces a peak power of 50 Hp and a peak torque of 39 Nm on tap. These figures are not just limited to the brochure because the claimed top speed is 193 Kmph; which is just mind-wobbling. CFMoto has used a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox which also features the use of a slip-assist clutch for seamless power delivery to the rear wheel.

This level of performance is something most the rivals like the 2022 KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and Yamaha R3 try to achieve. Being a China-based maker, CFMoto has broken the image barrier of dicey engineering ethics. Not just the design but the performance figures claim that the 450SR will be a very competitive product once launched internationally.

SR450 Price & Launch In India

Currently, it seems that the CFMoto is more tilted towards the European markets as they are consistently introducing newer models over there. With the addition of the SR450 sports bike, the stronghold over Europe is bound to increase. Prices for the SR450 are not known for now but the company shall launch this motorcycle soon internationally. While the SR450 might go on sale globally, we suspect that CFMoto will launch it in India any time soon. The way they are operating in India is in itself very skeptical and we do not expect the 450SR to launch in India soon.
