- Honda City reigns at the No.1 position

With SUVs gushing out of the factories and beating the sales of every other segment, they still can't totally replace the charm of the sedans. Those who are out to buy them are still buying them. The sales report for 2022 is out and the figures suggest that the pot of sedans is still hot and boiling and the Honda City reigns supreme.
But there are new entrants that displayed a decent number to dethrone some key players. Let's list them out for you.
1. Honda City Tops The Chart With 35% Market Share
The Honda City came out to be the segment leader with 38,335 units sold in 2022 beating the second position by a margin of approx 16,000. Honda City is available on sale in both its 4th and 5th generation simultaneously.

2. Skoda Slavia Just After Honda City At 2nd Spot, Beats Hyundai Verna
Skoda with the launch of Skoda Slavia in 2022 had a winner that surpassed the Hyundai Verna in sales to become the second best-selling sedan. It sold a total of 22,617 units.

This is also due to 2 engine units being offered with the Slavia for both performance-seeking and mileage-oriented buyers. The 1.0-L 3-Cylinder Turbo petrol produces 115 PS with 175 Nm torque. The 4-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo petrol scores 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque figures.
