Honda has added a third and smaller member to its adventure-scooter family at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The ADV 125 takes the tough looks of the ADV 160 and ADV 350 and puts them on a lighter, cheaper platform. It is aimed at city riders who want a rugged scooter without paying for a big engine. As mentioned in the headline, this product will make it to India, and that too very soon. Below is the breakdown of how the ADV 125 will be a relevant product in the Indian market.

Styling

From the front, the ADV 125 could pass for its larger siblings. It has a tall windscreen and twin headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, set into sharp, angular bodywork. At the back, an upswept exhaust, a stepped seat and a split pillion grab rail give it a raised, sporty rear. Honda will sell it in four colours: Pearl Falcon Grey, Pearl Cool White, Mat Cynos Gray Metallic and Mat Pearl Diaspro Red.
Engine and Performance

Power comes from a 125 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC four-valve engine with Honda’s eSP+ technology. This is the same motor that powers the PCX125. It makes 12.5 PS at 8,750 rpm and 11.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm, and it is paired with a CVT and an automatic centrifugal clutch.
Honda claims a top speed of about 97 km/h, with relaxed cruising at around 90 km/h. WMTC fuel efficiency is rated at roughly 47.6 km/l. Combined with the 8.1-litre tank, that works out to a range of close to 385 km.
The engine also gets:
- PGM-FI fuel injection
- An idling stop system
- A brushless ACG starter
- Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which helps keep the rear wheel from spinning on loose or wet surfaces
Chassis and Hardware

The scooter uses a steel tubular underbone frame and weighs 133 kg. It has a 1,324 mm wheelbase, a 780 mm seat height, and 165 mm of ground clearance. The seat height should be friendly to shorter riders, and the clearance helps over broken roads.
Suspension is telescopic forks up front and twin Showa shocks at the rear. It rides on a 14-inch front and a 13-inch rear wheel, with 110/80 and 130/70 block-pattern tubeless tyres. Braking uses a 240 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, both with Nissin callipers, plus single-channel ABS.
Tech and Convenience
- 5-inch TFT instrument display
- Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity for calls, messages, navigation and music controls
- Honda SMART Key with keyless start, remote seat and fuel-flap release, an anti-theft function and an answer-back feature
- USB Type-C charging port
- All-LED lighting
Practicality
The 29-litre underseat compartment and 2-litre glovebox should handle daily carry. Honda’s accessory list includes heated grips, a security buzzer, a body cover, a rear carrier and a 40-litre top box.

What it means for India
Honda has already brought the ADV 160 to India, so a smaller sibling is a plausible next step. Expect a price well below the ADV 160’s Rs. 1.70 lakh if it arrives, with early estimates putting it around Rs. 1.25-1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Nothing here is confirmed, though, and Honda has made no official India announcement for the ADV 125. A 125 cc scooter with real adventure styling would be unique in the segment, and it would take on the likes of the Hero Xoom 125.
