New TVS XL100 Teased, To Be Launched On September 18!

The TVS XL100 is a long-standing name in the Indian two-wheeler industry, and it seems like the Indian bikemaker is set to give it an upgrade, which will be launched on September 18. TVS has rolled out a teaser clip on its social media handles, which does not give away much, but there are things that we shall go over now.

New TVS XL100 Teased; Details

The XL100 isn't going to change much from the core, considering its heavy-duty applications and utility usage in both rural and urban areas. However, we can expect updated graphics and new paint schemes to make it look fresher and more appealing. From the teaser clip, the new XL100 will come with LED tail lights and turn indicators. The round headlamp will also be retained, but it will be an LED unit as well.

The teaser also showed glimpses of the XL100's body here and there, which are a little difficult to decode at the moment. As for the equipment list, given its utilitarian applications, we do not expect it to be loaded to the gills. However, TVS has been adding interesting features to its two-wheelers lately, and it is possible that the new XL100 could be equipped with a digital instrument cluster, bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and more.

The 99.7cc, single-cylinder powertrain is likely to be carried over, producing 4.3bhp at 6000rpm and 6.5Nm of torque at 3500rpm, paired to a single-speed gearbox. However, TVS will make it compliant to the latest emission norms. The presence of the exhaust pipe with its spherical dotted elements confirms the combustion powertrain.
