Next Gen Bajaj Chetak Spied

The next gen Chetak electric was spied heavily camouflaged, but revealing a few details. From the recent spy shots, we can make out, it retains the same retro-inspired silhoutte with smooth panels and round curves. However, the brand has introduced subtle design tweaks like the rear section gets a completely revamped LED taillights section. The rear number plate and tyre huger has also worked a bit. Meanwhile, at the front, remains the same signature LED tailamps with DRLs along with the "Chetak" letering inside it. Apart from this, the turn indicators have been moved a bit higher.
What To Expect?

This test mule showcases a new digital instrument cluster, might be a TFT, ditching the old circular LCD layout with a bit rectangular one. While, the test mule didn't reveal the features but it is expceted to pack a host of features like Keyless start, TFT screen with connectivity features, navigation and ride modes etc. Switchgear design also looks fresh, and overall ergonomics appear slightly revised for everyday usability. The seat looks flatter and longer, which could improve comfort for both rider and pillion.
Powertrain

While official specs are yet to be confirmed but this one points towards a 3 or 3.5kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 160km. Interestingly, the test unit features a hub-mounted motor, unlike the mid-mounted setup on the existing Chetak.
