Simple Energy One Electric Scooter Launched in India - Check Out The Price, Specs and Other Details

Electric Scooters are gradually becoming very popular in the Indian market and so a lot of automakers are coming up with their products. Also, more than mass-market players, we have young companies and start-ups taking the lead in this space. Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based young start-up has just launched its first electric scooter in the country. The price of the Simple Energy One Electric Scooter starts in India at Rs 1.10 lakhs. Simple One Electric Scooter - Key Specifications

The new Simple One Electric Scooter packs a 4.8 kWh battery pack. While it is mostly packed inside the metal case, a part of the battery pack even has a removable module. The battery of this scooter is coupled with an electric motor that has a peak power output of 7 kW (9.34 PS) and a whopping 72 Nm of peak torque. The Simple One has a top speed of 105 kmph and it can sprint from 0-50 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. The company claims that it can run up to 203 kms on a single charge in Eco mode while its IDC range is 236 kms per charge. According to the company, it will take 75 minutes to charge its portable battery and 165 minutes to charge its fixed battery pack using a normal charger. With a fast charger, a 2.5 kms range/minute can be added.

Simple One Electric Scooter - Features

The Simple Energy One Electric Scooter gets a host of features. This electric scooter features a large 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster that supports 4G and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. Some of its features include call and music control, navigation, vehicle tracking, book service appointments, view ride statistics, etc. The Simple One Electric Scooter gets a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) too. It will be available in four different colour shades. They are Azure Blue, Brazen Black, Grace White and Namma Red. Also, it has a kerb weight of 110 kgs and a massive boot space of 30 litres.

Simple One Electric Scooter - Price and Availability

The price of the new Simple Energy One Electric Scooter starts in India at Rs 1,09,999, exclusive of state subsidies. So, in some places like Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, etc., it should actually cost much lesser than the launch price. The bookings for the same are already open for Rs 1,947 but the delivery status has not been revealed yet by the company. This electric scooter will be initially available in 75 cities across 13 states. It will rival the likes of the Ola Electric Scooter, TVS iQube, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, etc.
