Ultraviolette Tesseract, the brand's first electric scooter, has hit a slight roadblock before reaching customers. Initially scheduled for delivery in Q1 of 2026, the company has now pushed the timeline to Q2 of 2026, as reflected on its official website. This delay is what the current timeline suggests and can be updated as per the conditions prevailing at the time. Ultraviolette Tesseract: Updated Delivery Timeline

When Ultraviolette introduced the Tesseract in March 2025, it created a buzz in the EV space with its modern design, impressive performance claims, and advanced safety tech. At launch, deliveries were planned to commence between January and March 2026. However, customers will now have to wait a little longer, as the new timeline points to an April-June 2026 delivery window. Importantly, the brand hasn't revised its variant selection timeline, which remains set for Q4 2025 (October-December). This means interested buyers can still configure their scooter in the coming months.

Ultraviolette Tesseract stands out as one of the most feature-rich electric scooters in India, offering a suite of advanced rider assistance and connectivity technologies. It comes equipped with radar-based safety features such as Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Overtaking Assist, and Collision Alerts, along with dual-channel ABS, traction control, and dynamic regenerative braking for enhanced safety. At the centre of the cockpit is a 7-inch TFT display powered by Violette A.I., enabling features like Advanced Ride Analytics, Remote Lockdown, Crash Alert, and Anti-Collision Warning. Additional highlights include cruise control, smart mirrors, and a segment-leading 34-litre under-seat storage, making it a practical choice for everyday use. However, it's worth noting that many of these premium features will be reserved for the higher variants, with pricing details to be revealed at a later stage.

Pricing and Variants

The introductory price for the first 10,000 customers was Rs 1,20,000 (ex-showroom). Currently, the Tesseract is priced from Rs 1,45,000 (ex-showroom), and bookings can be secured with an amount of Rs 5,000.

Ultraviolette offers the Tesseract in three variants:

  • Tesseract 3.5 (3.5 kWh battery): 162 km IDC, 10 kW peak power
  • Tesseract 5 (5 kWh battery): 220 km IDC, 15 kW peak power
  • Tesseract 6 (6 kWh battery): 261 km IDC, 15 kW peak power

Verdict

Although the wait for the Ultraviolette Tesseract has been extended, the scooter's feature set, performance claims, and futuristic design still make it one of the most anticipated EVs in its segment. If Ultraviolette can meet its new timeline and offer competitive pricing for the higher variants, the Tesseract could emerge as a strong rival to both premium ICE and electric two-wheelers in India.
