After the facelift, Honda has added premium features to it, such as a 360-degree parking camera, power-adjustable front seats and ventilated seats for both rows. Should I buy the Elevate?
The Honda Elevate is a perfect SUV for people who want a car that will not give them trouble and that they can keep for as long as the government allows. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine inside is the most dependable and tested engine in its segment, and it has been selling in India for almost two decades. Plus, the car has a machismo-induced design, giving it a strong road presence. Rivals don't have the big-car feel that the Elevate has. Plus, the ride and handling are among the best in the segment. So, these are all factors one should consider when looking to buy a new Honda Elevate.
- The new mesh grille changes the face of the Elevate. The gloss black upper moulding and lower garnish give the front a more purposeful look, and the "H" badge now sits in a new position.
- The Tri-Bar LED position lights do most of the talking. They give the front a distinct light signature that is easy to recognise on the road.
- Along the sides, gloss black garnishes on the body and fenders add contrast. The roof rails also get an updated colour.
- The new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels finish the profile. They come in Berlina Black with a dark clear finish.
- At the rear, a full-width connected LED tail lamp stretches across the tailgate and makes the car look wider. A gloss black lower bumper garnish completes the look.
- The proportions have not changed. Length, width and height remain 4,312 mm, 1,790 mm and 1,650 mm. The wheelbase is 2,650 mm and the ground clearance is still 220 mm, so the stance stays familiar.
- The big addition on the colour palette is Nordic Forest Pearl. It is offered in single tone and in dual tone with a Crystal Black Pearl roof.
- Six other colours carry over: Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl. That makes seven in total.
- Radiant Red Metallic and Platinum White Pearl are also available in dual tone.
- Buyers should note that pearl and dual-tone shades cost extra.

- The cabin gets a proper lift. A dual-tone ivory and black theme with a soft-touch finish makes the interior feel airier and more upmarket.
- Wrap-around ambient lighting glows in orange, and the air vents now get piano black trims. New interior deco garnishes add to the look.
- Leather upholstery is now offered, and the seats are the real headline. Ventilation now comes in both rows, which is a rare offering in this space.
- Up front, the driver gets 8-way power adjustment and the front passenger gets 4-way power adjustment. A one-touch electric sunroof is also on the list.
- Touch-sensitive cabin lights and an illuminated vanity mirror on the passenger side are small additions that add to the premium feel.
- Technology gets a major upgrade. The 360-degree surround view camera with multi-view display is the most useful new addition, especially in tight parking spots.
- Parking sensors at both ends and a multi-angle rear camera back it up.
- The 10.25-inch floating touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also shows LaneWatch View, the camera feeds and other functions.
- The driver sees a digital-analogue cluster with a 7-inch colour display. It shows fuel consumption, trip details, outside temperature, a G-meter and the clock.
- Honda has also added a PM2.5 air quality display with an auto clean air function. USB-C charging ports are now fitted in both rows.
- The sound system is an 8-speaker setup, with four speakers and four tweeters.
- An electric parking brake with auto brake hold replaces the handbrake, which makes city driving easier.
- Honda SENSING ADAS gets one new feature. Low Speed Follow helps in slow-moving traffic, but it is offered only on CVT variants.
- The rest of the ADAS suite is familiar. It includes collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, lead car departure notification and auto high-beam.
- Safety is well covered. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist and ISOFIX mounts are on the list.
- All-wheel disc brakes are listed for CVT variants only.
- Honda says the cabin is quieter than before, and the car keeps the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. It makes 121 PS and 145 Nm, with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT with paddle shifters.
Elevate features:
| TPMS | Yes |
| Wireless Charger | Yes - Front |
| Ventilated Seats | Front & Rear |
- The Elevate continues with the 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine, which puts out 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-step CVT or a 6-speed MT.
- Suspension duties are handled by MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. It drives great with this suspension. The ride is planted, and even at high speeds it doesn't shake your confidence.
- At this stage, Honda should have given it a hybrid motor to offer more powertrain options, as all competitors have at least two engines on offer.
