It continues to be powered by the same turbo petrol and turbo diesel engines. The safety rating is awaited, and no AWD is currently offered.

2nd row wireless chargerThe Alcazar is the first in the segment to offer this feature. Rear passengers can charge their compatible smartphones without carrying a charging cable.
- 8-way powered front seats
Both the front seats of the Alcazar get power function for adjusting the seat in as many as eight different ways, including height, recline and reach.
- Level 2 ADAS
The Alcazar offers Level 2 ADAS with 19 Hyundai SmartSense™ features. Some of these include Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control etc.
- 18-inch alloy wheels
The alloy wheels of the Alcazar have gotten an update as well. These 18-inch wheels look good and fill the wheel arches pretty well.
- Independent captain 2nd row seats
The 2024 Alcazar, like before, offers the option to opt for independent 2nd row seats. These get their own armrest and provide better comfort than a bench row.
- Boss mode
In higher versions, rear left seat passenger can move the co-driver seat ahead with the touch of a button.
- Ventilated 1st & 2nd row seats
Like the Tata Safari, the Alcazar too provides seat ventilated for 2nd row passengers. This is very helpful in the summer months in most parts of India.
- Paddle Shifters
The automatic gearbox versions of the Alcazar come with steering-mounted paddle shifters. These provide more straightforward control over gearshifts and the driver does not have to take his / her left hand off the steering wheel.
- Panoramic Sunroof
The huge panoramic sunroof aids airyness inside the cabin. Further, on a good day when the weather is pleasant, opening the sunroof helps create a better ambience inside.
- 10.25” HD infotainment screen
This is one of the largest screens in the segment and displays a lot of information, including connectivity options. The touch reception is excellent for the segment.
- Front row seatback table
This unique feature allows the rear passenger to use it as a working table on the move. The same can also be used to put light eatables when the car is stationary.
- Wing type headrest
The wing-type headrests come in handy when passengers want to take a power nap on the move. The design is such that the head does not move around unpleasantly when the car is changing lanes, or over curvy roads.

The new Alcazar is better value than before. It continues to provide an upmarket cabin with one of the most extensive feature lists under Rs 20 lakh in India. The updated design looks good, and the engine options will suit most buyers in India. That said, rivals in the same price offer bigger engines with better performance and a more spacious cabin in some cases. But you can’t dismiss Hyundai’s after-sales support and ease of driving the ‘large’ Alcazar.

If you are in the market for a 3-row SUV and want a feature-loaded SUV, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift can be one of the options to be in your consideration. The new Alcazar offers a plethora of features and two different seating configurations. While the first and second row offers immense comfort and space, the third row of the Alcazar is suitable for children only. It comes with a turbocharged and diesel engine option to suit your needs. However, in the same price range, one can opt for the Tata Safari which offers better dimensions and a usable third row.
