First launched in 2012, the Hyundai i20 became one of the first premium hatchbacks in the Indian market. In its current form, the Hyundai Elite i20 takes on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and has a strong hold on the market. The Elite i20 is BS6 compliant and is available with a single 1.2-litre petrol engine option. With the BS6 update, Hyundai has discontinued the 1.4-litre diesel engine. The petrol version offers a manual transmission while the CVT has been discontinued too. The Hyundai Elite i20 offers a great cabin quality and feels premium. It also offers a long list of features including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control system, automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs and positioning lamps and ORVMs with automatic welcoming option. The Hyundai Elite i20 also comes with standard dual airbags across all the variants while the top-end versions offer four airbags. It also offers ISOFIX anchorage for the chid seats and ABS as standard. There are a total of four trim levels available with the Elite i20. Hyundai will soon launch the all-new Elite i20 in the Indian market that will increase the overall competition. Hyundai will soon get an all-new model with diesel engine and automatic transmission options.
