Mahindra XEV 9S

The XEV 9S is Mahindra’s first 7-seater EV, and is essentially the electric counterpart of the XUV700. There are three battery pack options on offer, and much like the BE 6 and XEV 9E, it comes in a rear-wheel drive configuration. Prices begin from Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Last Updated On 27th Nov’23: Having been in development for many years, the XEV 9S has finally made its debut, coming across as the electric alternative to the XUV700.

Mahindra is preparing to unveil its new lineup of electric SUVs, set to make their debut on Independence Day. The company has previously offered glimpses of these upcoming electric vehicles, and now a fresh teaser provides a glimpse of both the interior and exterior features of what is believed to be the Mahindra XEV 9S.

The XEV 9S should be a good fit for those looking for a three-row EV in the mass-segment, with most of the traits of the XUV700 but in a more refined, modern, and more importantly in a package without the combustion engine. It is loaded with features, it gets multiple battery pack options and even the base variant comes with more than decent levels of performance.
