Tata Xpres-T EV is a sub 4m sedan with an EV powertrain. It is based on the same Tigor EV platform and is based on the XM variant. With a smaller battery pack and lesser range, it is one of the most affordable EVs for touring and cab operators. The dimensions and looks are almost similar but the powertrain is different from the Tigor EV.

Should I buy the Xpres-T EV?
The Tata Xpres-T EV is specifically designed for commercial purposes. It has an ample range and brilliant space to offer inside. Besides that, it is among a favorite vehicle for tour operators. Big on boot, range, and decent feature list, it is India’s first electric sedan on offer.
- The design elements of the Xpres-T and Tigor EV are identical. There is a blue line which indicates that it’s an EV. The halogen headlamps have a good throw at night.
- From the side, it is identical to the XE variant of the regular Tigor EV. The indicator on the fender could have been replaced to give an extra premium appearance.
- The rear has LED treatment, boasting an aesthetic appearance. This is the most affordable EV sedan with LED treatment for the taillamps.
- The boot space is decent enough with 255 L. The loading lib is decent and putting luggage is not an issue.
- The interiors of the Xpres-T EV are plain and simple with basic features. Since this variant is specifically designed for commercial purposes, it has all the must-have features based on the XM trim.
- The seats offer great comfort and cushioning. The features are basic with a music system, automatic climate control, and power windows.
- The blue accents inside the cabin around the AC vents give you a sense that you are driving an EV.
- The Xpers-T EV is equipped with a 25 kWh battery with a PMSM motor that churns out 41 BHP of power and 105 Nm of peak torque.
- This battery provides a claimed range of 277 Km (WLTP) and in real life, it will return about 200-215 km easily.
- It goes to a maximum speed of 105-115 km/h and has regenerative braking on offer.
- Talking of the charging time, using a DC fast charger, goes up to 80% in 1.5 hours, and using an AC charger will take around 11 hours for a complete recharge.
