Tata Motors Signs MoU with Lithium Urban Technologies for 5000 XPRES T EVs

Tata Motors has signed an MoU with Lithium Urban Technologies for a fleet of 5000 Tatas commercial vehicles of the XPRES T electric sedan for employee transportation.

In its bid for a green and clean environment, and to accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation, Tata Motors announced its partnership with an EV-based urban transportation service provider, Lithium Urban Technologies. As per the MoU, the Indian carmaker will deploy 5000 XPRES T electric sedans to the company, for employee transportation across the country. Tata Motors will commence the deliveries in phases.

The XPRES-T EV electric sedan is based on the Tigor sedan and it is the only model in the XPRES brand. It was launched by Tata Motors in July 2019. It gets two range options. The 213 km range options pack in a high density 21.5 kWh battery pack, and the 165 km packs in a 16.5 kWh battery pack. Both the batteries take approximately 0-80% in 90 mins and 110 mins, respectively. Both the batteries can be charged using a normal 15 A plug point. Some of the standard features available with the XPRES T electric sedan include dual airbags, single-speed automatic transmission, and ABS with EBD. The interior of the Tata XPRES T also gets a premium black interior, automatic climate control, and an electric blue accent.
