Hyundai Exter
Hyundai’s smallest ‘big’ vehicle is the micro SUV, Exter. Oddball design aside, the Exter ticks all the right boxes for someone looking at an affordable large vehicle. The cabin is not only spacious, it is also well laid out, practical and upmarket. The Exter offers a CNG option (very important), a very comfortable ride and sizeable boot for weekend runs. Although crash test safety ratings are questionable, the Exter’s value card does the trick for new car buyers. The dual CNG cylinders ensure that boot space is not compromised much.
Hyundai Exter Latest Update
Last Updated on 4th Apr'25: Hyundai re-jigged the variants of the Exter earlier this year, and it also introduced two new variants as well; the SX Tech and the S+. The S variant was also updated to include new features, while the CNG powertrain option was added to the S Executive and S+ Executive variants. The powertrains, transmission and other mechanicals remain unchanged.
Hyundai India has launched two additional variants of the Exter model: the S+ and S(O)+. The S+ variant, equipped with a manual transmission, is priced at Rs 7.86 lakh, while the S(O)+ variant, which comes with an AMT option, is priced at Rs 8.43 lakh. Both variants now feature the convenience of an electric sunroof.
