The Hyundai Exter continues being a popular choice among buyers in the micro-SUV segment, and the Korean car maker has decided to re-jig the variants in order to make some features more accessible for buyers. However, there are no mechanical changes to the car.

Hyundai Exter S Smart And SX Smart Variants; Details

The Exter S Smart comes packing with features such as an electric sunroof, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear A/C vents, and 15-inch steel wheels with covers. The SX Smart adds on a smart key system with push-button start, a shark-fin antenna, and projector headlamps. Both variants also get a 9-inch touch screen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and a rear parking camera, as optional add-on features for a price of Rs 14,999.
Additionally, Hyundai has also added in an ISOFIX child seat anchor as standard. Here is a list of prices of the two new variants:

Both new variants of the Exter are available with the petrol and Hy-CNG powertrain options. It retains the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol mill, paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT, producing 81.8bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. In its Hy-CNG guise, the output figures shift to 67.7bhp and 95.2Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual. In terms of fuel, the Hy-CNG comes with 60 litres of water capacity.

Verdict
Hyundai continues to re-jig the variants of the Exter, in order to keep the buzz going around it. With added features from lower down on the price list, the Exter becomes a more recommendable option to buyers.
