The MG Windsor EV is receiving its first update less than a year after its launch, in the form of the new MG Windsor Pro that has just been launched. It will be available with both regular pricing and with the BaAS scheme, and there will be one variant on offer; the Essence Pro variant.

MG Windsor Pro Launched; Details
The Windsor Pro's design remains unchanged, and it continues to look like a grown-up version of the Comet. The MPV-ish, rounded design does not really give its actual size away in pictures, but the Windsor EV is actually a lot bigger than it appears in pictures. However, it now gets new 18-inch dual-tone machined alloy rims, and there are three new paint schemes on offer; Celadon Blue. Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red.
The front-wheel drive electric powertrain also remains unchanged, continuing with 134bhp and 200Nm of torque. However, the Windsor Pro comes with a new 52.9kWh battery pack which gives it a claimed range of 449km on a single charge. However, charging times remain unspecified for now.

The interiors of the Windsor Pro aren't going to be too different either, except for the dual-tone beige and black upholstery as opposed to the all-black theme of the current Windsor. It now also comes with new features, such as vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle technology, along with a Level 2 ADAS suite with Traffic Jam Assist, Forward Collision Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control among other things. The 15.6-inch infotainment touch screen remains, and most functions still require you to get into the screen. The fixed-glass roof and the reclining rear bench have also been retained.

The introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 17.49 lakh will be valid for the first 8000 bookings, following which prices will increase. Much like the outgoing car, the Windsor Pro can also be bought under the BaAS scheme, for a starting price of Rs 12.49 lakh, with a battery rental price of Rs 4.3 per km. MG will also offer a lifetime battery warranty to the first owner of the Windsor Pro, along with many other interesting finance schemes.
Verdict
MG updating the Windsor EV less than a year after its launch shows that it is willing to take customer feedback very actively. With the addition of important features and the larger battery pack, the Windsor EV Pro makes itself a further more viable option for someone looking to buy an EV they can live with on a daily basis.
