But, it appears that the company is diligently working on a facelift for the Punch. The first sightings of the test mule have recently surfaced.

- The new Punch retains the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol producing 87.8 PS and 115 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The second, and more popular option, is the iCNG variant with the same setup, using dual CNG tanks and delivering a claimed mileage of 26-27 km/kg. Notably, for the first time, Tata has paired an AMT gearbox with this powertrain, making it India’s first SUV to offer a CNG-AMT combination. How this setup performs in real-world conditions will be interesting to see, as Tata has also given paddle-shifters with this combination.
- Tata has retained the overall dashboard design but added several new features to make the interior feel richer. It now gets a new 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless connectivity.
- The air vents are the same as those seen on the Punch EV, and there is also a new two-spoke digital steering wheel, now common across Tata’s lineup.
- Talking about the new features, it now offers blind-spot monitoring displayed on the infotainment screen, an air purifier, rain-sensing wipers, a 360-degree parking camera, hill-descent control, drive modes, and six airbags as standard, including pelvis and thorax side airbags.
