Should I buy the Aircross X?
If you're in the market for a seven-seater SUV under Rs 15 lakh that provides a comfortable ride and a lively turbo-petrol engine, the C3 Aircross should be on your radar. It comes with a respectable array of features, and one of its significant selling points is the option to remove the third-row seats. With ample boot space, all of these features are available within the Rs 15 lakh budget. However, if you prioritize feature-packed interiors and don't necessarily need a 7-seater, you might want to explore other options like the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and other mid-size SUVs.
-
The Aircross X retains the design of the normal Aircross; the front-end continues with the familiar Citroen Chevron grille, which also bears resemblance to the Basalt. It comes with slim DRLs placed above the headlamps, which are now LED projector units. The profile and the rear remain largely unchanged as well, as it carries on with flap-type door handles, alloy rims and the wraparound-type tail lamps that extend into the rear fender.
-
The Aircross X comes with a new Deep Forest Green paint scheme, rounding up to a total of six colour schemes. The other options include Perla Nera Black, Polar White, Steel Grey, Garnet Red, Cosmo Blue. Additionally, there are four dual-tone options as well, with the Deep Forest Green, Garnet Red and Polar White receiving black treatment on the roof, while the Cosmo Blue gets white treatment.
Aircross X body specifications:
| Wheel Size | R16 & R17 |
| Seating Capacity | 5 seaters |
| Ground Clearance | 200 mm |
| Boot Space | 511 liters |

-
The Aircross X retains the same set of powertrains. It gets a 1.2-litre, nat-asp petrol and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol powertrain. Additionally, Citroen will also provide a CNG option with the Aircross X as well.
-
The 1.2-litre nat-asp petrol comes with a 5-speed manual transmission option only, and it produces 80.4bhp and 115Nm of torque. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine can be paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. The output figures stand at 108bhp and 190Nm to 205Nm of torque, depending on whether you choose the manual or the automatic.
-
The Aircross finally gets the additional set of features that make it well-equipped to take on its rivals in a hotly-contested segment. The list of new features includes ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, push-button start/stop, cruise control, wireless smartphone charging, and projector fog lamps.
-
It also borrows the new Cara voice assistant from the Basalt X, and it is said to speak and understand about a total of 52 Indian and global languages. Additionally, it now also gets soft-touch material on the dashboard, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, a redesigned gear lever, footwell lighting, and gold accents elsewhere in the interior.
-
The 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system, the 7-inch digital instrument cluster and power-adjustable ORVMs were already on offer, and the list of safety features includes aix airbags, ESP, Hill hold, ABS, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and rear parking sensors.
- The Citroen C3 Aircross blends safety features with various amenities to cater to diverse drivers. While certain parts of the interior feel sturdy and well-constructed, there are areas where the use of plastic falls short of conveying a premium feel, potentially impacting the overall experience. The rear AC vents, although functional, are relatively basic and may leave passengers wanting more in terms of comfort and aesthetics, somewhat detracting from the overall interior quality.
- In the safety department, the C3 Aircross includes essential features such as two airbags for the driver and front passenger, a seat belt warning system, child lock mechanisms, and anchor points for child seats. An overspeed warning feature encourages responsible driving habits, and the inclusion of an anti-theft engine immobilizer and central locking enhances security.

| Airbag | 6 airbags |

| Parking Sensor | Rear Only |
