Updated Citroen Aircross SUV: Something fresh is brewing at Citroen India, and the latest spy shots have given us an early glimpse of what's in store. The French carmaker recently outlined its Citroen 2.0 strategy, promising feature upgrades, a more premium cabin feel, and a sharper ownership experience for its lineup, which includes the C3 hatchback, C3 Aircross SUV, and the upcoming Basalt.
Now, an updated version of the 2025 Citroen C3 Aircross SUV has been spotted on test, wearing just enough camouflage to keep things interesting. While the exterior changes seem minimal, the heavily disguised cabin hints at a more substantial revamp inside. Minimal Tweaks Outside, Major Work Inside

From the outside, the prototype looks nearly identical to the current model. The most noticeable covered section is the front badge area, hinting at a possible switch to Citroen's latest Chevron logo. The SUV retains familiar elements such as black ORVMs, LED projector headlamps, signature DRLs, roof rails, and 17-inch dual-tone 'clever leaf' alloy wheels.
Inside, however, is where the transformation is expected to shine. The test mule reveals a new brown leatherette upholstery, likely chosen for its better resistance to wear compared to lighter beige tones. The steering wheel is also partially hidden, suggesting the new logo will make an appearance here as well.
Cabin Upgrade Expected with Citroen 2.0

Significant camouflage on the dashboard and door panels points to new trims, colors, and possibly upgraded materials. Industry buzz suggests that soft-touch plastics - a rarity in today's mainstream segment - could be introduced, giving the cabin a more upmarket feel.

Feature additions are also on the cards. A teaser released earlier by Citroen hinted at the presence of 360-degree cameras (with lenses mounted on the ORVMs). Other likely inclusions are an auto-dimming IRVM, automatic headlamps and wipers, ventilated front seats, push-button start, keyless entry, and perhaps even a single-pane sunroof.
No Change Under the Hood
Mechanically, the updated C3 Aircross is expected to carry forward the existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. The turbo variant delivers 110 PS and 210 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

With the brand actively working to expand its touchpoints and improve after-sales service as part of the Citroen 2.0 vision, the refreshed C3 Aircross could play a pivotal role in strengthening the company's foothold in India's competitive SUV space.
Launch Timeline: While Citroen hasn't confirmed an official date yet, given the extent of testing, the updated C3 Aircross is likely to debut in the coming months.
