New 2026 Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup Unveiled - All Details

The Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler, based on the Scorpio N, has finally been unveiled. Mahindra first showcased the concept in Cape Town, South Africa back in August 2023, and after a long wait, it's finally here. The brand has given the Scorpio Lifestyler an identity of its own, pairing a familiar Scorpio-inspired look with a tougher, more rugged pickup-truck fascia. Mahindra will also export the model to international markets under the name "Mahindra Lifestyler." Let's take a deep dive into the product and see what it has to offer for enthusiasts looking for an Indian pickup truck.

Design

Scorpio Lifestyler Front

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler looks muscular, robust and extremely sturdy. Its design reflects the tough terrain it is built for. At the front, it gets a large, chunky grille. The Mahindra logo sits prominently in the centre. The front camera is neatly integrated into the grille. It also gets a chunky skid plate underneath. Wide, square-shaped openings for better airflow into the radiator. This would help cool the engine during demanding off-road drives.

The Scorpio Lifestyler gets an all-LED headlamp setup at the front. It also features L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The bonnet lines closely resemble those on the Scorpio N. The overall front silhouette also looks quite familiar. This helps retain the recognisable Scorpio family design.

Scorpio Lifestyler side

Moving to the sides, the design remains largely familiar. However, the chunky wheel cladding gives it more character. The lower body also gets additional rugged-looking cladding. These elements enhance its tough pickup-truck appearance. It gets diamond-cut alloy wheels, adding a premium touch. Another noticeable element is the snorkel on its right side. The snorkel supplies air to the engine during water crossings. This suggests improved water-wading capability for the pickup. However, the information about it's functionality is not disclosed.

Scorpio Lifestyler Rear

At the rear, the Scorpio Lifestyler looks sturdy and clean. Large Mahindra lettering dominates the tailgate design. C-shaped LED tail lamps make it easily recognisable. The rear bumper follows the rugged front-end design theme. Overall, the rear design looks simple yet purposeful. The Scorpio Lifestyler retains familiar Scorpio N design cues. However, its pickup body gives it added ruggedness.

Editions

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler has 3 Editions; Valley, Trail, and Reef. It has not just come up with one Scorpio Lifestyler. The three distinct avatars rolled out are each built for a different kind of buyer.

Scorpio Lifestyler Valley

First up is the Valley Edition, made for those who want their pickup to do double duty: work through the week, leisure on the weekend. It comes finished in Artemis Grey, a shade pulled straight from the layered tones of open estate landscapes.

Scorpio Lifestyler Reef

Then there's the Reef Edition, built for people who are always chasing the next view. This one's all about freedom and exploration, and it gets the Aquareef finish, a colour that captures the shifting shades of the ocean.

Scorpio Lifestyler Trail

And finally, the Trail Edition, the boldest of the lot. This is the one that fully embraces the Scorpio Lifestyler's go-anywhere DNA. It comes in Sahara Beige, inspired by vast desert landscapes and the idea of always pushing toward the next horizon.

Three editions, three personalities, but all of them rooted in the same DNA: capability, authenticity, and the freedom to go wherever you want.

Features and Engine

Scorpio Lifestyler Interior

Mahindra is yet showcase the interiors of the pickup truck. However, we expect it mostly inspried from the new facelifted Scorpio N. That said, it has a bigger touchscreen (nearly 12 inch), a digital instrument cluster, leatherette seats, automatic climate control, and a multifunction steering wheel, with a sunroof, 360-degree camera, and ventilated seats likely reserved for top trims.

Also, Mahindra is expected to carry over the 2.2-litre diesel from the Scorpio N and Thar Roxx, tuned for nearly 170 PS and close to 400 Nm torque, with a likely four-wheel-drive option using existing AWD hardware.

Price

The price of Scorpio Lifestyler starts at Rs. 19.79 Lakh (ex-showroom). It is very much competitive as per the Indian market and competition. The Lifestyler has Isuzu V Cross, and Toyota Hilux (recently got facelifted) to welcome in the market. This pickup truck is made Indian buyers waiting to buy a secondary vehicle and has pickup truck in their buying list. However the launch of the Lifestyler is expected in March 2023.

91's Take

Mahindra is quite familiar with nerves of Indian Buyers and their demand from the brand. We expect, along with 4WD option, Mahindra will smartly come with a 2WD variant as option. Some similar sort of things we have witnessed with different products; Thar 3-door with 2WD, Thar Roxx, which was expected to be to launch as hard off-roader SUV, silently marketed as daily usable vehicle and become primary car for many.
