The 2020 Hyundai Creta ditches the 1.4L and more powerful 1.6L CRDi engine for a newer 1.5L, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. This engine is BS6 compliant and is borrowed from the Kia Seltos. It generates 115 bhp along with 250 Nm of peak torque. Transmission option includes a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Fuel efficiency for the Creta is 21.4 km/l for the 6-speed manual and 18.3 km/l for the 6-speed AT. Kia Seltos returns 21 km/l and 18 km/l respectively. Being a brand in itself, it is quite obvious that Creta is offering a higher ARAI certified fuel efficiency.
Kia Seltos’s design looks dominating when viewed from the front profile. The LED headlamps followed by LED Daytime Running Lights and the tiger nose grille just gives the car a WOW factor. The sharp lines running all over the body with a sloping roofline. The rear profile of the SUV packs LED taillights along with a thick chrome bar. The higher trims of the Seltos gets thick machine cut alloy wheels which looks beautiful.
Now, coming to the 2020 Creta, Hyundai has gone a bit far with the design scheme. The split headlight design on the SUV which takes inspiration from the Venue looks good. But wait, till you see the rear as it also gets the same LED design pattern. The new design is odd yet funky and in my opinion, it is absolutely a number crunch as the SUV has already received more than 10,000 in just 7 days. That figure surely speaks a lot in itself.
