2022 BSA Gold Star 650cc bike has been spied testing in India without camouflage. The launch is expected soon & it'll rival Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
The 2022 BSA Gold Star 650 India launch is just around the corner. Confirming this, are the new spy shots of the test bike seen over the highway. The test mule was without camouflage and showcased the production-ready bike. Owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, the BSA will lure potential buyers who desire of a retro-modern motorcycle.

BSA Gold Star 650 Details
As seen in the spy shots, the test bike is a production-ready variant. We suspect that the company is testing the bike in its last phase before the production starts for the masses. BSA came into existence back in 1938 & since then it's been a testament to biking history. Mahindra is trying to replay the sentiments of the customers who are attached to the BSA brand.
Speaking of the design, being a retro-modern bike it has a similar outfit as well. Most elements are circular in shapes like the headlight, instrument cluster, tail lights, rearview mirrors, and even the turn indicators. Additionally, the retro touch is enhanced by the teardrop-shaped sculpted fuel tank and the single-seat design.
This new age Gold Star bike uses a big long stroke 652cc, single-cylinder engine. While the competition is more advanced on paper, the BSA sticks to the basics of its ancestors. This engine makes a peak power of 47.6 PS and 53 Nm of peak torque. For reference, the rivals Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650; are twin-cylinder setups.
We expect that the Gold Star will come with a 6-speed gearbox. A slipper-assist clutch is also expected for a bike of this stance. BSA Gold Star will be seated on the spoke rims. Although, we are not sure whether the tyres will be tubeless or tube fitted.
Coming to the launch, it is being widely reported all over the internet that BSA will launch around September. We also suspect that the upcoming festive season will incarnate the debut of the Gold Star in India. To beat up the rivals, an aggressive price tag of around Rs 3 lakh is expected.
