2025 Yezdi Roadster And Scrambler Spotted Testing; Details

Yezdi Roadster

According to what we can see in the short clip, there are three test bikes doing the rounds. All three bikes feature a retro, classic design, retaining the teardrop fuel tank. However, two of them appear to be different versions of each other, one with a single seat and the other with a twin seat setup. These two bikes also come with a completely new rear-section with a chopped rear fender, and a tyre-hugger mudguard on which the tail lamp is also mounted, while the turn indicators are mounted on the fender.

The setup on these two motorcycles almost had us think it would be the Scrambler, except for the twin exhaust pipes that are longer and straighter, which fit more in line with the Roadster's appearance. It is possible that the new Roadster may get a completely redesigned rear section, while keeping the front and the profile somewhat identical with the same retro classic approach.

Meanwhile, the third motorcycle had some interesting bits to catch on to. We can expect this bike to be the new Scrambler, given that it gets a single exhaust setup on the right side, instead of the upright twin exhaust setup from the current motorcycle. It also appears to get slightly different body panels, while the rear section not only seems sleeker, but it also appears mounted higher than the current motorcycle. Given from the short footage, the new Scrambler is likely going to switch to an alloy-rim setup. It remains to be seen how this change will affect the Scrambler's capabilities.

Given that the Adventure moved to the Gen 2 Alpha platform, it only seems logical that the Roadster and the Scrambler also be in line to receive it. The 334cc, liquid-cooled unit produces 29.2bhp and 29.56Nm of torque, and it is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. However, we can expect these figures to be different, depending on the tuning of the motorcycle to suit their respective character.

Not much can be said on the features front, but we can expect a new projector headlamp setup, along with ABS modes. However, given from what we saw on the new Adventure, we can expect the switchgear and the instrument cluster to remain unchanged. We can expect these motorcycles to hit the Indian market sometime later this year, given that Classic Legends plans to further expand the lineup with new platforms.

Verdict

The Yezdi Roadster and the Scrambler have long been overdue for an upgrade, and while these bikes started off strong initially, demand fizzled out over time. This upgrade may possibly bring some demand back.
