Ather 450X HR Homologated - The Second Model With HR Suffix

Ather Energy is strengthening its collection, and there's an exciting addition on the horizon. The second model featuring "HR," possibly standing for "High Range," is the Ather 450X HR. This new model has recently completed its homologation process, following the 450S HR.

Ather 450X HR: What To Expect?

Let's delve into the details of this new model, starting with its design. It's expected that the upcoming models will retain Ather's well-established design, with a second maxi scooter design currently in development.

Ather's scooters share a consistent design, and these new models are likely to follow the same pattern. Both the 450X HR and 450S HR share identical dimensions: 1837 mm in length, 739 mm in width, 1114 mm in height, and a 1296 mm wheelbase, with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 243 kg.

In terms of features, it will offer LED lighting, a 7-inch Google-powered touchscreen dashboard featuring Google Maps and a user-friendly interface, a 22-litre boot space, and more. Expect additional features like dual disc brakes and other enhancements.

Ather 450X HR: Battery pack And Performance

The homologation document reveals that the 450X HR comes with a substantial 3.66 kWh battery pack. When it comes to range, the Ather 450X HR boasts an impressive 158 km, while the 450S HR claims 156 km under AIS 040 (Rev 1) standards. The existing 450X offers two battery options, with claimed ranges of 111 km and 150 km. Notably, the 450X HR generates 8.58 bhp in Warp mode, along with other ride modes such as Eco, Smart Eco, Ride, and Sport. Among these, Eco is the least powerful, producing just 2.54 bhp.

The Ather 450S HR claims a top speed of 80 km/h, and the 450X HR is expected to offer a similar range. Both the 450S and 450X models currently on sale promise a top speed of 90 km/h, although the new documents do not mention the top speed for the Ather 450X HR. Furthermore, the Ather 450X HR is equipped with the identical Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor found in the current 450X electric scooter range. This uniformity is significant as it guarantees a dependable and well-tested motor for this latest addition.
