Bajaj Auto India has received an overwhelming response from the launch of its electric scooter, the Chetak Electric. Having retailed millions of two wheelers over the years, Bajaj has become a brand that has gained the faith of the public in many terms. Most of the electric two wheeler manufacturers in India have decided to confine their retail operations to specific cities and expand progressively with the evolution of electric charging infrastructure. Bajaj Auto is not different and has decided to expand the sales network of its electric scooter, which was earlier confined to just eight cities in India after its launch in 2021.

As per the Executive Director of the company, Bajaj Auto has successfully managed to keep up with the legacy of the brand name Chetak even in its electric powertrain avatar because Bajaj as an automotive manufacturer, has earned a reputation over the years with its dependable sales and service network. This factor has increased the trust of the public in Bajaj Auto as a brand manifold, and this gives them a tension-free and hassle less ownership experience. Therefore, the public is ready to experience an all new product from the enterprise despite being an unconventional powertrain. As it is, the Bajaj Chetak has been engineered after significant research and development in every domain and has thoroughly been tested for its quality and performance so as to keep up with the public's faith. With this level of response, Bajaj is ready to expand its retail network but would require a few weeks to keep up with the high demand.
Bajaj Auto has doubled its retail network in India for the Bajaj Chetak Electric and is now available in twelve cities, including Coimbatore, Madurai, Kochi, Kozhikode, Hubli, Visakhapatnam, Nashik, Vasai, Surat, Delhi, Mumbai, and Mapusa. The waiting period for the Chetak will be 4 - 8 weeks, and customers can book their scooters on Bajaj Auto's website. The Bajaj Chetak Electric is being offered in two variants, Urbane and Premium, with the Premium variant fetching a price tag of Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex - showroom).
