BMW India has introduced the BMW iX1 Electric SUV, which is offered in the BMW iX1 xDrive30 M Sport variant with a price tag of Rs 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This fully electric BMW iX1 marks a significant milestone by becoming the first in its segment to provide an electric option alongside the traditional petrol and diesel drivetrains. The initial fully electric BMW iX1, available as a completely built-up unit, can be exclusively reserved online at shop.bmw.in. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in October.

The BMW iX1 offers various color options, including Alpine White in a non-metallic finish, as well as metallic paintworks such as Space Silver, Black Sapphire, and Storm Bay. You can choose from different upholstery options, including Veganza Perforated Mocha and Veganza Perforated Oyster.

The iX1 is essentially the electric counterpart of the X1 SUV, sharing a design language that closely resembles that of the X1. It features a long, stretched roofline that extends into a spoiler at the rear, creating a dynamic look. Square wheel arch contours, flat roof rails, and 18-inch M light alloy wheels contribute to its aesthetic appeal. The rear of the iX1 is characterized by sculptural surfaces, horizontal lines that convey strength and solidity, a narrow rear window, a substantial diffuser, and L-shaped LED lights.

Inside the cabin, you'll find a digital BMW Curved Display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Harman Kardon HiFi Surround Sound system equipped with 12 speakers. The M Sport leather steering wheel comes with decorative strips, and there's ambient lighting in the instrument panel and front doors, along with pearl chrome accents on the door handles. Additional features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, and a floating armrest with storage.

The recently launched iX1 is equipped with a 66.4 kWh battery, boasting electric power consumption ranging from 18.1 to 16.8 kWh per 100 kilometers, delivering an impressive range of up to 440 kilometers (WLTP). The iX1 exhibits rapid acceleration, going from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.6 seconds, and it reaches a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour. It generates an output of 313 horsepower and a maximum torque of 494 Nm. This power is derived from electric motors located on both the front and rear axles, featuring a single-speed transmission and advanced power electronics.

The car offers efficient and swift charging options. With a 130 kW DC Charger, it takes just 29 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% (adding a range of 120 kilometers in just 10 minutes). Using an 11 kW AC Charger, it takes approximately 6.3 hours for a full 0% to 100% charge. Additionally, the BMW iX1 includes a complimentary BMW Wallbox charger with installation, facilitating secure and convenient charging at speeds of up to 11 kW.
