BSA Gold Star 650

True to its heritage, the Gold Star retains unmistakable British styling cues. A rounded fuel tank with the iconic BSA badge, polished chrome elements, wire-spoke wheels, and a retro silhouette highlight its vintage appeal. At the same time, modern touches such as LED lighting and crisp switchgear make it relevant for today's riders.

Powertrain Details

The Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine, delivering 45.6 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 55 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox, assist-and-slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS, the motorcycle blends classic torque-heavy character with modern refinement. Its double-cradle frame, telescopic front forks, and wide tyres contribute to stable, confidence-inspiring performance, whether on long highways or in daily commutes.

Each option comes with subtle chrome accents and detailing, giving buyers a mix of understated, bold, or elegant finishes to match different stylised preferences without straying from the bike's classic styling.

Verdict

The BSA Gold Star 650 has already carved out a loyal following in its first year back in India, thanks to its mix of retro design and modern-day refinement, however, the sales could have been a little better with everything that was first anticipated. With the introduction of the limited-edition Goldie Kit and exchange program, BSA has added more value to its offering. For enthusiasts who crave heritage styling backed by a torquey engine and everyday usability, the Gold Star remains a strong option.
