India has a rule that whenever any model discontinues then the carmaker must provide the parts for as long as 10 years. Similarly, if a company exits the country then they have to make sure that the buyers don't suffer from the unavailability of spare parts. So, if tomorrow, Ford decides to shut its operations, you do not have to worry about the availability of the parts.

Now, this is something that only you can take care of. Normally, people try to sell the car as soon as such rumours start taking shape into reality.
