Hero Destini 125 Platinum Edition Launched - What's New and Price Details

Hero Destini 125 is a very popular family scooter in India. It is also one of the most affordable 125cc gearless scooters one can currently buy in the Indian market. The Hero Destini 125 was first launched in the year 2018 and over the years, it has received subtle updates. Now, the company has just launched the new Platinum Edition of the 2021 Hero Destini 125 BS6 and its retail price has been set at Rs. 72,050, Ex-showroom Delhi. The new Platinum Edition demands a premium of Rs. 1,600 over the regular variant.

Talking about the changes in the new Platinum Edition of the Hero Destini 125, so it gets a new colour scheme along with subtle cosmetic updates. The Hero Destini 125 is available in a total of six regular colour variants. They are Candy Blazing Red, Chestnut Bronze, Matt Grey Silver, Panther Black, Noble Red, and Pearl Silver White. Along with the regular colour variants, the company now offers two special or limited edition variants too.

Just a few days ago, the two-wheeler maker launched its celebratory 100 Million Edition variant and now it gets the new Platinum Edition variant. The new Platinum Edition of the Hero Destini 125 gets Matte Black colour, Brown inner Panels, and a white Rim Tape. It features chrome handle-bar ends, new chrome mirrors, chrome muffler protector and chrome fender stripe that contribute to its overall style and durability. It gets a premium 3D logo too with platinum badging. All in all, it does look premium and elegant.

The mechanicals of the scooter remains unchanged. It is powered by a BS6 compliant 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor churns out 9.1 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 10.4 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a CVT and gets Hero's XSens fuel-injection technology too.
