Hero Electric City Speed Scooters Launched in India; Price Starts at Rs 57,560 - All Details

Hero Electric is a pioneer of electric mobility and the largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The company has a lot of electric scooters in its portfolio and has a wide reach across the country. Hero Electric has more than 500 dealerships in 25 Indian states spread across the length and breadth of the country. Now, ahead of the festive season, the company has launched its Hero Electric City Speed Scooters in India with prices starting at Rs 57,560, Ex-showroom Delhi.

The company has launched new Hero Electric City Speed scooters to cater to the city commuters. This is an all-new segment and these City Speed electric scooters will offer good cruising speed and gradeability to easily ride on the flyovers and slopes. These all-new Hero Electric scooters will offer a perfect combination of performance and price giving the best value for money deal to the buyers. This City Speed portfolio from the company includes three electric scooters. They are Optima-HX, Photon-HX and NYX-HX.

According to the company, these new Hero electric scooters will have a top speed of around 45 kmph and will deliver a riding range of around 70 kms - 200 kms, depending on the model. The exact specifications of these electric scooters are not revealed yet. However, the company has revealed its starting price and not model-wise pricing. The price of these new Hero Electric City Speed scooters starts at Rs. 57,460, Ex-showroom Delhi. Also, these electric scooters will be even more affordable in the National Capital, thanks to the additional subsidies for electric vehicles by the Delhi Government.

Commenting on the announcement, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric India said, "The current E-bike market is polarised with bikes available in low speed, very low price or high speed, very high prices. After years of research, we have developed electrical power trains that have 'best in class' efficiencies, using the least amount of battery power, giving adequate pickup and speeds to go in tandem with the speed of traffic on our city roads. Using these power trains we have now launched a new range of bikes starting at Rs. 57,560 that have a comfortable driving range from 70 km to 200 km."

He further added, "These bikes are so designed to give enough power and punch and great economy without stressing the batteries, resulting in high range per charge and very long life of the batteries."
