The evergreen star of the Auto Expo -- Mercedes Benz finally unveiled the much anticipated A-class limousine in the auto expo 2020. A sedan version of the A-class, the word "limousine" has been added at the end to ensure no confusion takes place between the A-class hatchback and the A-class sedan.
Cited as one of the most affordable sedans to be offered by Mercedes, the A-class is Mercedes solution to finding a suitable continuation to the CLA in India. Witnessing the car in the auto expo, we can definitely say that the car promises to carry the CLA's class forward with the same sporty characteristics along with the value for money factor.
The Design
The Mercedes-Benz A-class sedan's design is proportionate sporting swift back headlamps, a sloping roofline and a loud grill at the front. The sides too get a minimal styling with clear character lines while the rear sports a split tail light with L-shaped LED signature.
Powertrain
Powering the sedan is a 2.0 turbo petrol engine mated to an automatic gearbox. The engine as mentioned is expected to produce 185 bhp of power with 221 Nm of peak torque promising a 0 - 100 sprint in just 7.2 seconds.
Features
The stand out features of the A-class sedan definitely includes the company's MBUX system which includes two seven-inch screens one for the instrument panel and the other for the infotainment system. The company has also offered buyers with the option of upgrading to 10-inch screens for an even better experience. Mercedes has also included a simple and easy to use voice-based assistant that can be activated very simply by saying the words - "Hey, Mercedes." The A-class also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to safety by sporting features like the adaptive cruise control system, park assist system, lane change assist, blind-spot assist, seven airbags as well as ABS and EBD.
