Tata Nexon EV Top Speed And Acceleration [VIDEO]

By now you must have read this across numerous websites - yes, Tata Nexon EV top speed is limited to 120 km/h and we tested the same during the media drive a few months back. Not only this, we also put the Nexon EV through its paces to capture the 0-60 and 0-100 km/h runs. Click on the video below to see the same:

It is a fact that Tata Nexon EV top speed is indeed electronically limited to 120km/h. However, on the speedometer, you notice the needle going past the 120 mark due to the inbuilt error. Its common for cars to have a 3-5% error and in this case, the needle rests at around the 124 km/h mark. But if the speed restriction wasn't in place, we are sure the Nexon EV would have hit the 160 km/h mark on the speedometer.

We also did a few acceleration runs to see how quick this electric SUV is. The 0-60 km/h dash is achieved in about 3.5 seconds while it takes about 9 seconds to hit the 100 km/h mark. These are impressive figures and far better than both the petrol and diesel versions of the Nexon. Why so? This EV model not only makes more power (129 PS) but the max torque of 245 Nm comes from 0 rpm itself. Hence, you don't have to wait for the punch to come in. And while all this happens, the cabin of the Nexon EV remains a silent place to be, with the world rushing by at crazy speeds.
