TVS Motors - Petronas Adjoin To Form India's First Factory Racing Team

TVS Motors - Petronas have shaken hands over a new joint venture for constructing a nation-first factory racing team.

TVS Motors - Petronas oil mutually entered into a professional 5-year partnership for making India's first factory racing team. TVS has been widely appreciated for its efforts for the upliftment of the Indian two-wheeler motorsports. The newly formed joint venture with the Malaysian engine oil manufacturer Petronas, the factory racing team is supposed to enter into various National-level motorsport events.

According to this new joint venture, the Petronas TVS racing team as they call it will participate in national motorsport events as such the National Rally Championship, Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship, and the National Supercross Championship. TVS also portrayed its various racing products for each of the above-mentioned racing events. The new racing motorcycles have been draped in a tasteful livery of Petronas and TVS brand colours nicely. The TVS Apache RR 310 race bike was recently showcased when TVS announced its 'Asia One Make Championship; along with this two other products which include the dirt bike and a performance rally scooter were showcased at the event.

While the 'Asia One Make Championship' will take place in 4 different Asian countries finding various riding talents; the Petronas TVS venture will not only focus on the international motorsports but also on the national motorsport events. Petronas has been constantly working to expand its footprint in India as it considers the Indian market as one of the largest potential-filled markets. Petronas has already started locally producing its Sprinta engine oil in a Mumbai-based factory; to expand its portfolio. Also, in addition to this TVS Motors - Petronas will be launching a premium motorcycle engine oil for the Apache series called the 'Petronas TVS TRU4 RacePro' in the Indian market by 1st May 2022.

Speaking of the Apache RR 310 race motorcycle; it hosts a lot of technical upgrades to support extreme track racing. While the chassis remains unchanged, a lot of engine parts such as the pistons, head, ECU, etc. have been changed for retrieving the utmost performance figures. This motorcycle will be tested to the very end in the upcoming Asia One Make Championship hosted by TVS Motors itself.
