Volvo recently launched the BS6 XC40 petrol and axed the diesel AWD variants. The petrol-only XC40 is soon to get an all-electric version which was unveiled last year globally. The Volvo XC40 Recharge gets power from two electric motors mounted on each axle, the total power output is 408hp and 660 Nm of torque. Not only the Recharge, but all the cars from Volvo comes with a limited 180 km/h top speed.

Powering the XC40 Recharge is a floor-mounted 78kWh battery pack which channels power to both the electric motors. If you have access to a 150kW DC fast charger, the battery can be juiced up to 80% in just minutes. The WLTP-certified claimed range of the XC40 Recharge is 400 km. The charging port of the XC40 Recharge is placed at the location of the fuel filling port.
