The MT-07 stands as a naked middleweight motorcycle, boasting an aggressive front fascia and exposed body components. On the contrary, the R7 is a fully faired sports bike, featuring complete fairing and a large windscreen at the front, among other design distinctions when compared to the MT-07.

Both bikes are equipped with similar features, including a digital instrument cluster that displays various readings such as speed, tachometer, trip meter, clock, gear indicator, and other relevant information. Additionally, they come with LED lighting. The MT-07, in particular, offers mobile phone connectivity, enabling it to display incoming calls and messages.

When it comes to the engine, both bikes are powered by a 689cc, twin-cylinder liquid-cooled motor, delivering 74 bhp of power and 67 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 6-speed transmission. On the hardware side, both motorcycles share similar components, including dual front disc brakes measuring 298 mm and a rear disc brake measuring 245 mm. The braking system is further reinforced by dual-channel ABS.
