Expert Verdict on M 1000 R

4.5
Expert Rating
The BMW M 1000 R is one of the most potent naked sport motorcycles you can choose today, blending superbike-level performance with road readiness. Its 999 cc inline-four produces robust power and instant throttle response, while the chassis and braking hardware deliver razor-sharp handling and confidence through corners. A suite of advanced electronics, including multiple riding modes, traction control and refined ABS, ensures that much of this performance is controllable and predictable even at the limit. On the road, the M 1000 R feels planted and precise, but its aggressive ergonomics and firm suspension are tuned more for performance than relaxed touring. Although some competitors may offer a bit more comfort or versatility, few in this class match its blend of engine character, hardware sophistication and dynamic capability.
