BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Detailed Review
- BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 2nd generation appears as a bolder evolution over the 1st generation and looks sportier with its extroverted design, made with young buyers in mind who are drawn towards such shapes.
- The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe features an expressive front, dynamic silhouette, and a muscular rear design. New shark-nose design, first-in-segment Iconic Glow Kidney Grille and Adaptive LED-Headlights, captures the attention.
- It has grown 20 mm longer (4546 mm), 25 mm taller (1445 mm), remains 1800 mm wide, with a 2670 mm wheelbase.
- Like the previous generation, it still features frameless doors, and a coupe-like roof line that connects with the rear seamlessly. To add more, at the end of the stylish side window design, a small embossed “2” marks the signature Hofmeister kink.
- The wide rear stance, sleek taillights, and high-gloss black rear apron make its rear profile the most attractive.
- The standard M Sport package boosts the dynamic appeal of the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe with large front air intakes, M-specific side sills, and a sporty rear apron with a black diffuser.
- It also includes 18-inch M Y-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, offered as standard.
- Available in - Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, Black Sapphire, Metallic and Alpine White.
- As you walk up to the car, it automatically unlocks and welcomes you with stylish lights and a "light carpet" on the ground - making entry feel premium and effortless.
2 Series Gran Coupe body specifications:
| Wheel Size | R17 |
| Seating Capacity | 5 seaters |
| Ground Clearance | 152 mm |
| Boot Space | 430 liters |

- With the 2nd generation, BMW decided to omit the diesel engine and offer only a 1.5L turbocharged 3-cylinder that produces 156 hp and 230 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT that sends power to the front wheels only. According to BMW, it can do 0–100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/h.
- This engine doesn’t quite align with the performance image of the BMW brand, as it doesn’t feel spirited enough while driving. The power delivery is linear and won’t push you back into your seat like other BMWs. That said, its biggest strength is fuel efficiency - on the highway, with a light foot, it can return an impressive 16 to 17 km/l.
