2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Details

On first looks, it will be hard to tell how the new 2 Series Gran Coupe differs from its predecessor. However, a closer look will help you understand what has changed. The grille now gets an illuminated outline treatment, but unlike the global car with a completely blanked-out nose, the India-spec car comes with a partially-covered grille, featuring conventional slats and a blank panel towards the middle. The front looks familiar, but the headlamps have also been redesigned, and they now feature vertical LED DRLs.

The entire rear section has also been redesigned, featuring a new tailgate, and the tail lamps also look sleeker than before, comprising of new DRL patterns. In terms of dimensions, the 2 Series Gran Coupe has grown. The overall length has gone up to 4546mm, while the height has also gone up to 1435mm. However, the wheelbase and the width of the car remain unchanged.

Under the hood, the new 2 Series Gran Coupe will pack a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 156hp and 240Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain replaces the set of 2.0-litre powertrains from the older model. Additionally, this time, BMW has not offered a diesel option either.

On the inside, the 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with a revamped interior layout, featuring a new centre console, and a new BMW Curved Display unit, with a 10.3-inch infotainment display and a 10.7-inch digital driver's display. Some other features include a head-up display, an AR-based view, Parking Assistant Plus, dual-zone automatic climate control, and active cruise control among other things.
We can expect the prices of the new 2 Series Gran Coupe to be a significant step up from the outgoing car, which can be currently had from Rs 44.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
