Thane, the city of lakes, in Maharashtra, has received the first ever MG Select showroom, which will give shelter to the premium upcoming cars like M9 and Cyberster. This sub-brand will open in 13 more cities in the coming months, and it was communicated to us via MG in February month. The M9 will launch first, and we at 91Wheels got to experience it recently in Goa. MG Select
MG Select isn't just any regular car dealership but a premium experience center for high-end luxury MG cars. What Nexa is to Maruti, MG Select is to MG. The M9 will be the first car available for sale here, slated to launch on July 21. This presidential limousine is expected to be priced in the Rs 60 to Rs 70 lakh bracket and will rival the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire.
The second vehicle on the list will be the MG Cyberster, the electric coupe roadster that created quite a stir at Auto Expo 2025. Despite massive promotions in the January month, this sports car hasn't been launched yet, which is surprising. To add more, the Cyberster, will be powered by a dual-motor 77 kWh battery pack that produces 510 PS and 710 Nm of torque, and the brain behind this car is former Italian F1 engineer, Marco Fainello. The international site of MG says that its electric range is up to 507 km, and with a 144 kW DC fast charger, it will go from 10% to 80% in just 38 minutes. It will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h.

Commenting on the allotment of MG Select dealerships, Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus, JSW MG Motor India, said in Feburary, "MG SELECT represents a new vision for 'accessible luxury' in the automotive market. The brands refined perspective on products and car ownership journey will enhance the personalized experience and the newly appointed dealer partners will play a key role in driving it forward."

Verdict
Started in 2019, MG has created a name for itself in the ocean of the Indian automobile sector with its high-tech SUVs. Last year, the MG Windsor EV launch contributed a lot in bringing more customers towards EVs - who weren't sure about this green mode of transportation. It even won Electric Vehicle of the Year and continues to generate a lot of praise for the brand. And now, the M9 is coming, which looks extremely promising and is creating a lot of noise.
