Exterior

Comparing both side by side, it's identical that the 2nd generation or the upcoming 2 Series Gran Coupe is the evolution over the outgoing model and now incorporates more of a sporty flavour - which aligns more with the M-Sport division cars. The front end has now gone a de-chrome tour, and the famous kidney grille is now totally closed, meaning no air intake. However, the large air-intakes are there in the bumper, giving this car a low-slung, road-hugging appearance.

Also, it gets illuminated function, which looks cool. The side profile is similar to the 1st generation, but the C-pillar now features the 2 badge - which gives it a distinctive personality and marks the series name. Also, it will feature 19 Inch forged M light-alloy wheels and an M compound brake system. As an extra option, the 17 Inch and 18 Inch wheels will be standard.

Moving on to the rear, the upcoming iteration will have a new-age flat rear profile with slimmer LED tail-lights, a lip spoiler, and invisibly integrated exhaust tailpipes. Even the current 2 Series has a very distinctive and sporty-looking rear section; the upcoming one just dials it up to 11, without overdoing it.
The 1st generation is sleek, very low to the ground, and comes with a sexy design that's universally accepted. It features some of the OG design elements that have always been associated with BMW cars, and thats why its mostly picked by young adults who fall for its widebody design.
Interior

The 2nd generation model will come with a new-age BMW interior design, where the front panel appears futuristic, and the AC vents look invisible. For a change, this will be a leather-free interior - the automaker's contribution towards climate change. The Veganza/Alcantara trim is available as an option, combined with hand-sewn contrasting seams on the instrument panel. Talking about features - the famous BMW Curved Display with Operating System 9 is present, consisting of a 10.3-inch infotainment display and a 10.7-inch digital driver's display. Other features include BMW Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Head-Up Display and Augmented View on the Control Display, as well as Parking Assistant Plus.
