Altroz CNG Price: The Altroz iCNG will be about Rs 90,000 more than the regular petrol models. If Tata can offer the CNG kit in the base XE variant, then starting price of the CNG range could be from Rs 7.5 lakh onwards

Should I buy the Altroz CNG 2020-2025?
The Tata Altroz i-CNG is a good family hatchback with excellent comfort on offer along with strong build quality. It has great features on offer and the fit finish quality of the cabin is decent. The exterior boasts a strong presence and overall the headlights have a great throw at night. Overall it has great aesthetics and if you are not convinced about the Altroz, then you can look for other options such as Glanza CNG or the Baleno CNG.
- The design of the Altroz is quite nice in the segment. It boasts a strong presence with the fog lamps located a bit above the regular place. The chrome line connects the headlights. It gives a more pleasing appearance. The halogen headlights have a strong throw at night. They use a projector setup.
- Coming to the side of the vehicle has the same proportions and dimensions as the regular version. The 16” alloy wheels have a good design and appeal to the audience. The doors open 90 degrees straight which makes the inrest and eg-rest very easy.
- At the rear, everything is the same as the regular Altroz, but the main part comes in the boot. It is the only car in the segment to offer dual-cylinder technology, which results in great boot space. This makes your long journeys and weekend travels much more convenient for your luggage storage.

- As we step inside the cabin of the Altroz-iCNG, it has the same feel and vibe attached to the regular Altroz. There are hardly any changes apart from a few new buttons added for the switchover of the CNG to petrol.
- It has a neat layout of the dashboard, with a small touchscreen from Hardon and automatic climate control on offer. It could have been offered with a bigger touchscreen and the hard plastics could have been better in quality.
- The interior is a great place to be in. The seats are pretty comfortable and the flat floor at the rear increases the comfort level at the rear.
- The Altroz I-CNG comes equipped with a 1.2 L naturally aspirated petrol engine that is the same unit as the other sibling the Tiago, Tigor.
- It is an inline 3-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 85 BHP and 113 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. When driven in CNG mode, it would return about 73 BHP and 103 Nm torque. Overall it has great driveability but some vibrations can be felt inside the cabin.
- The Altroz i-CNG has a direct start on the CNG mode and this enables it to save the consumption of petrol. Overall fuel efficiency is decent and would return about 22-24 km/Kg in the city conditions. The competition in the segment offers a much better engine performance and refinement as compared to the Altroz I-CNG,
- Coming to the seating comfort of the Altroz I-CNG, it has good comfort on offer. It has great bolstering and posture in the front seats, and the cushioning is decent.
- At the rear, it has a flat floor. This allows for a much better cabin experience. Three passengers can sit comfortably at the rear. The cabin is wide enough to accommodate them. Overall the practicality of the cabin is well and it is a nice place to be in.
- The suspension is tuned to adapt to Indian road conditions very well. With the dual-cylinders, it has a well-tuned rear suspension which is on the softer side and absorbs bumps and potholes very well.
- The steering wheel has a great response. It has a good feel and feedback on offer and has decent weight. It does not feel vague and feels agile in use.
