New KUV in family

Hi folks, we own a Mahindra KUV 100 NXT which my family bought in February 2019. We wanted a 7-seater car as we are 6 members in our family but we didn’t have too much budget and my father didn’t like the Datsun GO+. So, one of our relative suggested us to see the KUV 100 NXt and my father liked it and we bought it. The KUV 100 NXT is a good car. The cabin is spacious and it gets good features too. We own the top-spec petrol model and we have driven it around 9400 kilometres till now. I haven’t driven this car too much but I can say that it is good people mover. I will share my detailed long term ownership review after 15,000 kilometres.

Small SUV for bad roads

This is the new KUV100 NXT model we purchased in 2019. Although for Rs 8 lakh we had other options in the market, the space on offer in this car made us go for it. After having done 18000km, the ownership has been okay. I will discuss about the plus points first that include the space on the inside and the robust suspension that suits our area. We have a lot of bad roads and the KUV does not have problems driving over them. Space is good for adults and the diesel engine offers reasonable performance. On the negative part, for the price, features could have been more and the engine is not too efficient. Other diesel cars in the same price provide better mileage. Workshop personnel have been good and this was a surprise for us as we had heard negative stories before purchasing the car.

KUV Diesel is good

I own a 2018 Mahindra KUV 100 Nxt. I bought this car in March 2018 with the 1.2 litre diesel engine and manual gearbox. I bought this car as I wanted a cool funky-looking car with good practicality and I chose diesel as I drive a lot. My workplace is around 30 kilometres away from my home and I drive 1500 kilometres in a month. Till now, I have driven this car around 37,500 kilometres and I am quite happy with it. I bought the top spec K8+ model so it gets a lot of features but still there are some misses and it has some ergonomic flaws too. For example the gear lever is positioned very awkwardly, the 6th seat is not meant for use on long drives and the diesel engine isn’t very refined.
