Rear Seat Space Constraints: The rear seat isn’t as spacious as comparable ₹20 lakh ICE SUVs, potentially compromising comfort for taller passengers.
Glossy Black Dashboard Panels: Glossy finish on the dashboard attracts dust and fingerprints, requiring frequent cleaning to maintain a pristine appearance.
Poor IRVM Visibility: The sloping roofline and fifth passenger's headrest obstruct rear visibility, reducing convenience and safety while driving.

Latest Updates on XEV 9e
With year-end benefits touching up to Rs 3.8 lakh on the XEV 9e, Mahindra is making a strong push for its new-gen EVs this December, turning them into some of the most value-packed electric SUVs you can buy right now.
Mahindra is reportedly considering a hybrid version of the XEV 9e, likely using a range-extender setup where a small petrol engine acts only as a generator, while the wheels remain electrically driven. This move could help reduce range anxiety and align with the government’s push for hybrids alongside EVs, though it would require reworking Mahindra’s INGLO platform.
