The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is a significant leap forward over its predecessor, combining genuine off-road capability with far better road manners and refinement. The new Sherpa 450 engine is smooth, tractable, and considerably more powerful, while the chassis and suspension inspire confidence across varied terrain. Its comfortable ergonomics, modern electronics, and practical touring credentials make it equally capable of tackling daily commutes, long highway rides, and demanding trails. The tall seat height may intimidate shorter riders, and the motorcycle isn't the lightest in its class, but these are minor compromises.

What we admire in this bike

It now boasts stronger built with better hardware.

The Himalayan now comes with new features, a digital instrument cluster, LED lighting, riding by wire, 4 ride modes, and others.

The new Sherpa 450 engine offers more power and torque.

It is always ready to be pushed more.

The engine is so refined and offers a good performance.

New switchgear is easy to operate and offers better ergonomics.

What could have been better

The seat is adjustable but short riders might find it a bit uncomfortable.

The spokes wheel with tube tyres is prone to getting punctured.

It is not a practical daily commuter for city runs.

The braking could’ve been better.

Great Performance

The bike looks amazing and has a unique, reptile-inspired design. I love the Komet White and Mana Black colours, and the seat is also very comfortable. Overall, I really love this bike.

The super hero Himalayan

I owned my bike since 2021. It's a white color and BS4. I am getting mileage around 27 to 29 and it's very comfortable. Every 5000 kms I do the general services, oil change everything. Scores around 2500 to 3000 maximum. And I am using front and back MRF tyres. It's very comfortable.

Good Vehicle

Good vehicle, but not recommended for regular city use. If you are planning long rides or highway travel, then this bike is worth considering. The service support is also good. I would strongly suggest taking a test ride first before making a decision.

Royal Enfield has just made the 2025 Motorverse fest extra special by introducing a new colour scheme for the Himalayan 450, the Mana Black, which was visible on the brand's page from a long ago. . With a new colour, there are few tweaks on the design front as well, which has taken the cost of this edition up to Rs.3.37 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 may soon get a Rally Kit, as a test mule with upgraded exhaust, rally graphics, raised rear, and off-road-focused tweaks was spotted. Likely offered as an accessory, it could be lighter and more capable off-road, while retaining the same 452cc engine and core hardware.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has received a price hike of up to Rs. 16,000, now starting at Rs. 2.85 lakh. It continues with the same 452cc engine, TFT display, and off-road hardware, and competes with rivals like the KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS.
