Last Updated on 28th Apr'25: The Baleno remains one of the top-selling premium hatchbacks in the Indian market. Although the brand has not made any recent changes to the Baleno, it has updated the Grand Vitara and a few other models with 6 airbags as standard. The brand is planning to make 6 airbags standard across all its models, aligning with the government's push towards safety and making 6-airbags standard in all cars sold in the country.

While Maruti Baleno continues to be a solid seller in the premium hatchback category rivalling Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz, Maruti Baleno witnesses a price hike of up to Rs. 9,000 from February 2025 but this quantum is only applicable for the petrol automatic trims. For other CNG and the petrol manual models, the hike is limited to just Rs. 4,000.

Comfortable but Low

The Baleno is a very good and comfortable car. Its design and overall look are also very attractive. I have enjoyed driving it and the comfort level is excellent. However, the ground clearance is a bit low, which causes the car to touch on speed breakers sometimes. Because of this issue, I am planning to sell the car.

I have a good experience with my car. It runs well even on mountains and has never let me down on the road. On the highway at 80 km/h, it gave more than 25 km/l mileage. I have traveled from Srinagar to Jammu in one trip. It performs very well off-road too and has never disappointed me anywhere.
