Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The C-Class received a silent update earlier this year, with a new 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine exclusive to the AMG Line variant, thus replacing the earlier diesel powertrain in a higher state of tune. While not much has changed on the outside, the C-Class gets a redesigned centre console with a metal structure. The lower variants of the car also receive additions such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, fast-charging USB-C ports, digital key handover, and adaptive high beam assist.

Last Update On 25th June'25: There have been no new changes to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Limousine since its last major update. The current-gen W206 continues to be sold in four variants, three petrol and one diesel. The performance-focused AMG C 43 4MATIC remains the most powerful in the lineup, featuring a 2.0L twin-turbo petrol engine producing 408 hp and 500 Nm of torque. No variant or feature revisions have been announced recently.

The exteriors of the new C-class are more futuristic and look similar to the E-class and the S-class sedans. The front design now embraces a new all-LED headlight with a sharp nose and big front grille. The front bumper is also redesigned with bigger air dams. The side profile is similar to the old car with subtle body line changes. The alloy wheel design is also new and matches the personality of the car. At the rear, the low-slung and shorter overhang look fabulous and the C-class has a new set of LED taillights as well. The rear end is also reworked completely to match the bigger siblings.

The new C-class has an attention-grabbing design & looks futuristic as well.
Mercedes-Benz has also updated the interior design of the new C-class completely. Due to better space management, the new C-class has more comfort. The dual-tone interiors are available in 3 various colours and the finishing is done in brushed aluminum. Mercedes has also redesigned the steering wheel which looks similar to the 3-spoke version of the E-class. The instrument panel is all-digital and there is a big infotainment system screen present in the mid of the dashboard as well. The overall quality, fit & finish is simply fantastic. The feature list of the new car is also well equipped.

The new C-class comes equipped with the most efficient powertrain options in the segment. The new car has an option of a petrol and two diesel engines. The first is C200 is a 1.5-lt, turbo-petrol that makes 201 hp of power & 300 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 9G-Tronic gearbox. It delivers a claimed fuel economy of 16.9 kmpl. The second is a C220d which is a 2.0-Lt, turbo-diesel that churns out 197 hp of power & 440 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 9G-Tronic gearbox. It delivers the class-leading 23 kmpl of ARAI-claimed fuel economy.
The third option is a C300d which is an AMG-line variant. It uses the same 2.0-Lt, turbo-diesel as that of the C220d but it makes 261 hp of power & 550 Nm of torque. This is also mated to a 9G-Tronic gearbox as well. This engine is capable of delivering an ARAI-claimed 20.37 kmpl of efficiency.

The ride quality of the C-class has been its forte since its global launch. The executive sedan can easily cocoon the cabin and isolate the passengers from what’s underneath them. The new C-class is no exception either. With the use of utmost tech, the C-class delivers excellent ride quality. Although, it is not a chauffeur-oriented car one won’t mind being driven around due to its best ride quality. Also, Mercedes-Benz has tuned the steering inputs in a way that the enthusiast inside you is also equally delighted as from the ride quality. The steering response is spot-on. At low speeds, the steering is commendably lighter and easy while it weighs nicely up to at soon as you press the pedal. The response is good and safe.
