All-Electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class Details

The all-electric C-Class was shown covered, but with a few interesting details worth noticing. Mercedes-Benz is giving it the same grille as seen on the electric GLC; the modern rendition of the historic Merc grille. However, it gets an additional fourth slat, similar to the existing S-Class. It also seems to get a shorter tail section, and giving it a similar appearance to the CLA.
The electric C-Class will be built on the same MB.EA platform, which also underpins the newly-unveiled electric GLC, and the upcoming all-electric E-Class as well. We can expect the electric C-Class to come with multiple drivetrain options, one of which is likely to be the 94kWh battery pack. However, Mercedes-Benz is aiming for a claimed range of 800km on a single charge, attributing it to 'excellent efficiency.'

We can also expect the C-Class to be equipped with the 39.1-inch Hyperscreen, running on the MB.OS 'superbrain' software, which is basically an interactive AI assistant which integrates both Google and Microsoft systems into one. Merc may also add the adaptive air suspension from the electric GLC, which takes it from the S-Class.
Additionally, Mercedes-Benz also spoke of the smaller G-Wagon, which will be seen testing on roads soon, and it also confirmed a new-generation GLA for next year as well. As for the electric C-Class, it will make its global debut next year, with an India arrival not long afterwards.
Verdict
The C-Class has lost some sheen over the last few years, as it's not the entry-point in Mercedes-Benz' lineup in India anymore. Globally, however, the C-Class and the E-Class continue to be popular, and the upcoming electric versions should help make them future-proof.
